Scottish Labour Leader, Anas Sarwar has announced his shadow team leading up to the election on 6 May, and it includes local Labour candidate Carol Mochan who will be the spokesperson on Mental Health and Older People.
Carol said
‘I am delighted that Anas Sarwar has given me the important job of speaking for Scottish Labour on mental health and wellbeing. This should be at the heart of our health and care services and applies at every stage of our lives. Scottish Labour has a commitment to improving access, funding and prevention services.’
Carol will be speaking at the Scottish Mental Health Partnership’s event on 16 March organised around the Partnership’s manifesto and policy priorities. The Partnership is made up of 17 organisations across the mental health sector. The event will be called Promote, Prevent, Provide & the Next Scottish Parliament and will be addressed by speakers from the political parties.
